Jet washing and roof cleaning.
Patios, driveways, paths, decking and roofs cleaned of moss, algae and years of grime, across Tyne & Wear, Durham and Teesside. On its own, or as the first step before painting.
Patios, driveways, paths and decking
Years of green algae, black spots, moss and traffic grime lift off with a proper pressure wash, and the difference is usually dramatic. Block paving, flags, concrete, tarmac, decking, steps and paths are all done, with the pressure and nozzle matched to the surface so soft brick, old pointing and timber are treated gently.
We also wash down fences, walls and render before painting, so the new coat goes onto a clean surface and lasts.
- Patios, block paving, driveways, paths and steps
- Decking cleaned back before staining or oiling
- Fences, walls and render washed before paint
Moss and lichen off the tiles
Moss holds water against the tiles, blocks gutters when it falls and makes a house look tired from the street. We clear moss, lichen and dirt from the roof, clear what comes down out of the gutters, and leave the ground tidy.
Ladders, scaffolding or a cherry picker are used to reach the roof safely, chosen to suit the house. Bungalows to three-storey, domestic and commercial.
- Moss, lichen and dirt cleared from tiles
- Gutters cleared of what comes off the roof
- Safe access: ladders, scaffold or cherry picker
Why clean before painting?
Stain and paint only stick to a clean, dry surface. A fence or wall that is painted over algae and dust will peel within a season. Washing it first, letting it dry and then painting is the difference between a job that lasts two years and one that lasts five. If you book painting with us, the wash-down is part of the preparation; book it on its own if you just want the garden looking right again.

Questions people ask
Will jet washing damage my paving or decking?
Not when the pressure and nozzle suit the surface. Block paving and flags take a strong wash; soft brick, old pointing and timber are done gently. Block paving joints can lose a little sand, which we can top up.
How often should a roof be cleaned?
Most roofs in the North East grow moss back over three to five years, faster under trees or on the shaded north side. One clean every few years keeps it in check.
Do you need my water and power?
An outside tap is ideal. Tell us if you do not have one and we will plan around it.
Can I book cleaning and painting together?
Yes, and it is the best order to do them in. Ask for both on the quote form and we will price the lot.
Send a photo of the patio, drive or roof.
A phone photo and a postcode gets you a price. Before and after photos welcome once it is done.
