The short version: the only information this site collects is what you type into the quote form, and it goes to us so we can get back to you.
Who we are
The North East Garden Painting Co is a painting, jet washing and roof cleaning business covering Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Teesside, and as far as York, Alnwick and the Lakes for bigger jobs. The owner of the business is the data controller for anything you send us. You can reach us at negardenpainting@yahoo.com, on 07732 216175 (primary) or 07895 415713 (secondary).
What we collect and why
- When you send a quote request we receive what you enter: your name, phone number, postcode, email if you give it, the service you want, your description and any photos or videos you attach. Photos of your property count as your information too.
- If you call, email, message us on Facebook or WhatsApp, we keep that conversation so we can reply and quote.
- We use these details only to reply to you, arrange a visit if needed, give you a price and carry out the job you book. The legal basis is that you have asked us for a quote and, if you go ahead, the agreement between us. We keep records of finished jobs under our legitimate interest in running the business and meeting tax rules.
- We never use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not pass them to anyone else for their marketing.
How it is sent and stored
- Quote requests, including any photos, are delivered to our email inbox by FormSubmit, a form-to-email service. FormSubmit states that it does not store submissions after delivery; its own privacy policy covers that step.
- This site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host it records standard server logs (your IP address, browser type and the pages you open) for security and to keep the site running. Some of our providers process data outside the UK under the safeguards UK data protection law allows.
- We keep your enquiry for as long as needed to deal with the job, then for up to six years with our business and tax records, after which it is deleted.
- We do not sell your details. We only share them where we have to, for example with our accountant, our insurer if there is a claim, or where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. The Facebook and WhatsApp links take you to Meta's services, where Meta's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop or limit using it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email or call and we will sort it, normally within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Under 18s
This site is for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
